Toronto City Hall Wedding

Toronto City Hall Wedding

On a sunny summer day, light filtering in-between the towers enveloping the Toronto City Hall wedding chambers lit up this intimate ceremony.  After the vows and signings among family and friends, we headed over to Osgoode Hall, where the lovely grounds offered a welcome respite of shade right in the heart of the city.  Following a quick tour of Queen St. to get our shot with the TTC's famed 501 streetcar (obligatory for any downtowner whose had the mis/fortune of grinding it out on the tracks everyday) we took a few couple shots against the dark brick of the Four Seasons Centre, where reflecting beams of light from the financial district worked to our advantage. Dinner and cocktails hosted at F'Amelia in Toronto's Cabbagetown capped off the day, with a number of the 19th-century homes in the neighbourhood setting the mood for our evening photos.

Parkwood Estate Wedding

Parkwood Estate Wedding

Every now and then it's good to join another photographer as a second to try new approaches and develop your craft further - and of course provide additional coverage for the couple.  I had the pleasure of joining Alicia Campbell on her shoot with Susabera and Nyron.  Here's a few of the 2nd angle wedding looks taken at the lovely Parkwood Estate in Oshawa.  Check out Alicia's full post here

Kris & Carolyn celebrated their wedding at the historic Gladstone Hotel in Toronto's trendy Queen West neighborhood.  The Gladstone's unique art themed rooms provided a splash of colour to the morning preparation, with our first look photo taking place in the lower level of the Gladstone's Tower Suite.  Up on top of the tower suite friends and family gathered before the official ceremony kicked off on the hotel's turret patio - offering views of downtown Toronto in all its glory.  We took wedding photos in and around the Queen West neigbourhood with a short jaunt over to hippest park in the city - Trinity Bellwoods, where amidst the sunbathers, slack-liners, and fur-babies we found our lovely backdrop.

To end the night off right a live Cuban band led the dance floor through mambos, salsas, and cha chas aplenty. Oh, and Elvis makes an appearance.

Sarah and Allison celebrated with family, friends, and Frank the dog in the Muskokas at Trillium Resort and Spa, a place near and dear to their family. On a late summer day that was just the right temperature under the bright sun these two tied the knot overlooking Devine Lake.  The archway and flowers were all designed by the couple's friends!

The Boulevard Room // Toronto Wedding Photography

Stephanie and Dan celebrated their wedding at The Boulevard Room in the north end of Toronto.  We snapped our group shots at the nearby Glen Shields Park and capped off the evening with great evening light and a dance floor that was a hit with the young'uns. That great bouquet is done by Euphoria Wedding Designs.

St. Basils Church // Brantford Wedding Photography

Shelley and Al and are the lucky few who don't have to go far for a rustic farm wedding, they can just host in their backyard.  Affectionately named Shelley's Acres with a matching sign Al made and presented at their reception, this lovely farm setting with its bustling stable of Shelley's sociable horses was the perfect reception venue for guests to relax after the ceremony at St. Basil's Church in Brantford.  Shelley's horses are awesome, so if you love horses at weddings you'll love this post.
